We all started blogging for different reasons. No matter what you write about you have people who follow every post, loving everything that you write. You’ll have your critics, yourself being one of them. So sometimes it’s good to step back and look at what you love about your blog. Today, I’ll be sharing about what I love about mine and what I have learnt on my short journey so far.
First thing is that I am myself on my blog. I’m honest, genuine and very much a “what you see is what you get” kind of person. It’s given me a voice, the ability to brighten someone’s day or give a much needed boost. It’s given me confidence and a potential future. It’s given me a chance to express myself in a more creative way, something before this started i didn’t think was possible. I have learned to a small degree to start loving myself a bit more, because of the blog.
I love that my posts are being read. It’s honestly amazing. I don’t just mean, however, recent posts. Everyday I’m seeing a post from a few months ago being read. It’s so good to see. I fell into the trap of seeing my blog as just numbers for a short mater of time, something I regret. I lost part of the reason why I started on the first place. After taking a break I accepted that there will be days where nothing happens on the blog, and that, my friends, is okay. It’s good to have bad days, it keeps us grounded. I’ve learnt that, yes you’ll get a bulk of views the day a post comes out, but over time it will be read more and more. That to me is more exciting then seeing my daily views sky rocket.
Where my blog is right now, I’m enjoying it immensely. I write what I enjoy and never put a post out for the sake of it. Even my little posts about my day or that I put up because I want to write about it. I’m not focusing on views as much. I still look at them because, well, the intrigue gets the better of me. I’m not letting bad days affect me anymore. Yes I will be celebrating each achievement. It’s only right too. It’s a way of acknowledging the followers and viewers that support you. It’s my way of sharing with them and showing what a difference they all make to me.
What do you love about your blog?
Until next time. Have a great day 🙂
